Fast-track courses after SPM

There are always alternatives; if you want to completely avoid pre-university, you might want to think about enrolling in one of these fast-track programs instead.

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)

 

  • The ACCA qualification is not a degree but a professional certificate.

  • Seen as an honorific qualification that employers strongly value.

  • Through the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Qualification, SPM students in Malaysia can gain access to the ACCA Qualification more quickly.

TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training)

 

  • A special curriculum is designed to give students the information and practical skills they need to start working right away, without having to go through a traditional school system.

  • The marketability of TVET graduates in Malaysia's job market is currently relatively greater as well.

  • Due to the increasing demand for graduates with particular skill sets, TVET graduates are also given better pay.

Duration: 6 - 24 months

Diploma

 

  • A step ahead of a pre-university course - it prepares students to enter the workforce immediately upon graduation instead of going on to university.

  • The qualifications required to enter a Diploma program are usually lower than other pre-university programs.

Tuition Fees: RM 20,000 - RM 60,000

Duration: 2 - 3 years
